My own podcast has disappeared from Apple Podcasts Connect

I have been running a podcast called 'Not Just CAD' on Apple Podcasts since early 2024. To date, I had 21 episodes of interviews with pioneers and advocates from the CAD and *** industries.

Today, I went to upload a new recorded episode and it simply does not exist anymore. Even if I look up the podcast URL on my phone and try to claim an existing podcast, I get 'system error has occurred'.

What right do Apple have to just remove an innocuous podcast that was totally informative?

Has this happened to any other podcasters out there, and if so, were you able to resolve it?

Thanks in advance.

When a podcast is removed it's unfortunate that they never give a reason. Possible reasons are technical difficultites in reading the feed, failure to update for a long period, unacceptable content (the sort that would get you arrested), copyright violation (for example 'mixes' containing commercially issued recordings), or use of strong or sexual language in an episode when the 'explicit' tag is not set to 'yes', strong or sexual language in the title of the podcast or an episode irrespective of what the 'explicit' tag is set to.  Note that if even a single episode is set to 'explicit' you must also set the overall podcast to 'explicit' as well.

if you can identify and correct the issue, you can re-submit but you will need to change the title slightly or the automated process will tell you the feed has already been submitted.

Apart from this it is possible that there has been some sort of a glitch at Apple's end: in that case all you can do is to approach Support: https://podcastsconnect.apple.com/contact-us
