Sometimes it starts playing music just seconds after telling Siri to stop. It start also in the middle of the night. Sometimes the volume increases too. It's so annoying. My wife unplugs everything at night and when leaving the house, not to bother the neighbors. Please help!

Make sure all software on apple tv and HomePods are up to date running 26.0.1. This has fixed some audio sync issues. There’s an option to reset HomePods and set up again: Reset HomePod or HomePod mini - Apple Support

Although there have been reports of HomePods randomly playing music, it’s not something I’ve ever experienced myself, unless caused by me summoning Siri and it mishearing the request. Or a tv playing in the background can cause it, if it thinks it heard any word that sounds like “Siri”. The Farxica commercial being one that was causing this. This is followed by “sure, he’s some music picked just for you”. Disabling hey siri would address this particular issue.

Thank you for your answer. I have updated everything to 26.0.1 before. The problem still exists.

It doesn't make a difference whether Siri is enabled or not. What I experience is that after (for example) a walk with my dog, that the music plays almost at full volume. It has nothing to do with automation or detecting someone coming home. I know, because it happens also in the middle of the night, when we are all asleep and the house is completely silent. I checked all my Apple devices for timers and that kind of things.

Update: yesterday I removed power from the AppleTV to check where the problem originates. The problem did not re-appear. So I conclude that the problem is not within the HomePod's. It must be something with the AppleTV.

And that makes sense, because after connecting the AppleTV to power again, the problem re-appeared.

I checked the Apple Remote for malfunctioning by putting it in a metal box, preventing it to send commands. Unfortunately this didn't make any difference. Problem still there.
