iOS 26/iCloud Calendar Invite Spam (Security Issues)

There has been an uptick in iCloud/iOS 26 Calendar invite spam. For myself and a few friends. I see a potential security issue and function issue.

  1. We cannot press and delete/report an invite
  2. Using "decline" acknowledges to the spammer

I seem to recall in the prior iOS release, we could delete these invites and optionally report them as Junk/Spam.

One issue I see is if someone is attempting to track you for nefarious reasons. That is, these invites are being directed to individual iCloud email addresses (Google and others are a separate matter).

I'm really curious why this is even an issue, given past privacy and security measures that were taken. Maybe it got missed. Hopefully a fix in the next release, and these reports are included in Apple's junk collection database to help mitigate the problem.

Anyone else seeing this issue in iOS 26 with spam Calendar (iCloud) invites?
