Unfortunately, my ipad 10.2”, seventh gen, doesn’t have that feature. My Android phone does, and I’ve set it to charge max 80%.
Your iPad should have the Optimized Charging option and that is what you should have turned on and charge your iPad all night, every night so it can learn your charging behavior. After the learning period, your iPad will only charge to 80% until just before you normally take it off the charger.
To be honest, in my opinion the Charge Limit is not necessary even on the newer devices where it is an option. I still would not recommend using it. Who wants to use a device that is always operating on a 20% depleted battery and reduces use time?
Leaving your device plugged in will reduce the charge cycles as a single charge cycle is actually how many times your battery capacity has been used, not how many times it has been charged.
