Keyboard Issue - random double spaces after every second word when typing...

Posting this for anyone still painfully suffering with this issue (seems to be common over a number of years), as in my experience there is still very little helpful information out there that actually makes a difference...


THIS is the one suggestion amongst the many circulating online that has really helped, for me at least!


I'd done all the other suggestions (key repeat turned off, max delay, auto-space after a period turned off etc.), but this suggestion below was a game changer. To my amazement, it worked when NOTHING else has.

"tap the spacebar kinda hard several times, and to press it down firmly and run your finger down the whole length of it. I did both a couple times and it helped a LOT."


Report this Fix to Apple Via Feedback:

Do your Part: Inform Apple of this fix. Apple barely reads these forums as it is on their own time. So, to get the word out to them, report it to them. Apple won't get back to you directly, but the more feedback they receive on this, the more they will know what is going on, and what needs to be fixed.

  1. Go Here: Feedback - AirPods - Apple
  2. Select: "Bug Report" for the "Feedback Type"
  3. Comment: on when you came across this issue, and the fix. Include the URL of this thread.
  4. Proceed from there as necessary
