Home app notifications on macOS

I signed into my iCloud account on a secondary computer and then proceeded to disable certain functions I don't want enabled on that computer. Really the only thing I wanted was iCloud Drive, passwords, and safari. I disabled everything else, but that doesn't seem to actually work. I had to manually launch Messages and FaceTime and sign out of those apps to stop getting messages/calls from them. But even though I have the Home app disabled in iCloud and launching the Home app shows it's not signed into my Home, I continue to get notifications for actions that occur in my home (primarily around Garage door opening/closing). Seems to be a pretty significant bug when iCloud functions are turned off but keep working. Wondering if anyone else has ran into this.

Review your System Settings for Notifications. For instance, there is an option there for receiving notifications from an iPhone and maybe other devices as well. So you could be receiving those notifications from the iPhone even though you turned them off in iCloud.
