Touch ID authentication missing for iTunes purchases on MacBook Air
13" MacBook Air M4 2025 running 15.7.1 (24G231). Yes I am logged in to iTunes, and I have store credit. I'm also subscribed to iTunes Match.
Example of what I get:
Please don't respond "Restart your machine" - that does work, but in no universe is that a good answer.
Yes, I've done safe mode and that makes no difference - something in the restart seems to resurrect Touch ID authentication. No issues using Touch ID elsewhere.
You'd imagine Apple would like to be given more money!
