No, not directly. The iMac has no video input, it is not a Tv or monitor with input selection.
You can of course get a capture card and capture video from an outside source like a cable box.

You can also use websites to watch news, live news even. Places like cbsnews.com, abcnews.com, cnn.com all have live news streams you can watch.
There's also of course the option of Youtube. Many news outlets including the ones mentioned above have ongoing live news streams and broadcasts on their Youtube channels.
