Part of MacBook Air M1 screen is blank (around 25%) — no physical damage

Hi, I’m using a MacBook Air M1 (2020). Recently, about 25% of my screen went blank (black) — the rest of the display works perfectly. There’s no physical or liquid damage, and the Mac is out of warranty. The issue appeared suddenly while using it normally (no pressure or impact). I can still connect to an external display, and everything works fine there. I’ve tried restarting, resetting NVRAM/SMC, and booting in Safe Mode — no change. Has anyone faced a similar issue? Could this be a display cable or logic board issue, and is Apple providing any free or goodwill repair for this known issue?

Troubleshooting a Flickering Screen:

Apple does not have a give away Mac session, that I am aware of. And, if you received such a message as that, it's likely a scam, being oh so good of a deal.

A. My Failing Screen:

During the days of COVID, I had to send in my 2017 15" MBP 11 times, due to a loose connection between the LogicBoard and the screen. Being an absolutely defective device(nothing on my part), and so patient of a customer, Apple gave me a free $2,500 USD upgrade, for just the price of the AppleCare+ I purchased with it.

B. Getting Up a Genius Bar Appointment:

Set up a Genius Bar Appointment at your local Apple Store. There, it will be diagnosed, and you'll be provided with your options from there

C. Getting a New Mac:

Being AppleCare+ has expired, you'll have to look into getting this serviced, or getting a new Mac. Note that Apple has a reputation for providing updates to their devices for 7 years, and then discontinues providing them for their devices. So, maybe take this as a good reason to upgrade to a much newer device.
