Is it safe to use Laptop Stand for MacBook Air ?

If the stand encloses the Air and prevents its normal cooling (it has no fans) via the aluminum body, then I would not use that type of stand.

I've worked a lot of heat issues with laptops and I see no problem with that design either.

I've been using a similar stand for years without issue. But I did not pay $279 for the stand. As I recall I paid between $10 and $20. I use it all the time with my Mac and my PC. Similar adjusting legs and angles. And mine is aluminum not plastic.

Here is a picture of the stand referred to. This stand will not "enclose" the computer.
