Sabrent external adapter keeps disconnecting from Macbook Pro during backup...

After upgrading to MacOS Tahoe, my Sabrent external drive adapter keeps disconnecting during backup. This adapter is used to hook up a 2.5" SSD externally. I am using Carbon Copy Cloner, and I have to use a USB c to USB A adapter to hook it up to the Macbook Pro. This did not happen before the upgrade.

I use two different enclosures that hook up straight to USB C and the problem is not there. I can hook up the same enclosure to my Mac Studio with the USB C to A adapter into a Thunderbolt 3 dock and it will run a backup without any issues.

I did just order two 2.5" enclosures from OWC that connect straight to USB C, so I am hoping that they will solve the problem. However, the problem should not exist. I have disabled the lock screen and made it so that the screen will stay on indefinitely. I am currently running a backup with yet another USB C only enclosure and it is about 200GB from completing - we'll see how it goes.

If anyone knows why this might be happening, your input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

P.S. The adapter I am referencing is the Sabrent USB-DSC7. https://sabrent.com/products/usb-dsc7
