Missing 'Save As' function in Apple Pages on new Mac mini M4

Why! Help me make it all make sense! Why would Apple hide the “save as” function. Tried to use pages to create a graphic. Usually I create the whole graphic and then delete portions and use the “save as” as a way of building the graphic in Final Cut. Just bought a new M4 mini and tried using pages and there was no save as functionality. It literally took me six hours and an insane amount of stress to find out you have to use the option key to reveal that function. WHY!!!

Pages hasn't had a Save As… menu item for years. You are expected to press the option key which changes the Duplicate menu item to Save As…

If you use Save As… as often as I do, you may want to use this solution originally by TUAW to permanently change the keyboard combination. The article was written way back when Mountain Lion, OS X 10.8, came out, but it still applies to all versions of OS X/macOS since. I have always created a shortcut for Duplicate to use ⌘⌥⇧V so that the same command does not apply to two different actions.
