Gmail archive mailbox on mac - I’m getting very confused

Hi I’m not techy. I have a problem. I set up an icloud archive box on my macbook air and thought I’d do the same for my google gmail account. it seems that all that happened was that I copied all the emails into a new google archive box but I can't curate them or use it like the icloud archive box. I tried to delete it but a box comes up saying do I want to delete 'Google all mail'? Ahhhh no I don’t, I just want to get rid of the useless doppleganger archive google box that actually isn’t. Does that make sense? I enclose a photo. it just seems all messy instead of clean and simple. thank you for any help in advance, Ruddlehead
