macOS Calender app changes event times automatically

Why is adjusting your mac os calendar harder than it should be.

When drop and dragging an event, why does the calendar move the event to the previous location (date or time) without permission. It's literally ctrl+z'ing by itself.

Why is it that when adjusting the end time of an event, the calendar automatically adjusts the start time of an event (move the entire event hour forward or backward)

Currently, MAC OS calendar feels like such a gimmick. We users don't have full control over it.
