Accidentally deleted song from Apple Music playlist

As the title says, I accidentally removed a song from a playlist. Due to the bad placement of the scroller or scrubber immediately adjacent to the three dots next to a song, I somehow managed to hit the three dots while scrolling down my 1,000+ playlist, and I hit the “remove from playlist” option on a song. Unfortunately, it happened so fast I was unable to see which song it was. I’ve been curating this playlist for over two years. So, as you can imagine, it is driving me mad not knowing what song I removed. I contacted support hoping they could restore my playlist to an earlier time period prior to this incident, but I was told nothing could be done on their end. I don’t know exactly what I’m seeking at this point but mostly to suggest two things: Please, allow users to lock a playlist to prevent accidental removal of songs or deleting a playlist entirely. Or, additionally, allow users to undo deleted songs.

I knew this would eventually happen because I had been close to deleting a song on previous occasions due to the same issue.

Anyway, I hope this post gets to the right people that can actually address this issue. My 1,000+ playlist is missing a song.

According to this disclaimer at the bottom of Start A Discussion, “Apple may provide or recommend responses as a possible solution”.

How would they provide that information based on the information I provided without monitoring the discussion?

Secondly, I do blame Apple because when you use the scrubber to scroll down, your thumb literally also sits on top of the three dots next to a song which opens up available options such as Remove From Playlist.

Regardless, I went through the playlist and found out what song was missing and added it again. For future reference, I recommend creating a copy of the playlist. If a song accidentally gets deleted from the original playlist and you can’t figure out what song it was, add the backup playlist to the original playlist and it will add the missing song. Just hit skip when it asks you if you want to add duplicates. Problem solved.

Your post will not get to the right people because these are user-to-user forums. Apple Support is not here and does not monitor these forums. No one here is an Apple employee or Apple contractor. We are all just fellow users.

In your haste you accidentally deleted a song and you blame Apple for it? Really? If you want to submit feedback you may do so by using the feedback system but I doubt Apple wail change anything just for you.
