Trouble creating business cards with iPad Pages template

I'm driving myself crazy trying to get the business card template to work in Pages on my iPad. Specifically, at the top of the template is "COMPANY NAME". I edited that (it was impossible to select and edit the text without massively enlarging it), but after editing it I can't select all the text to paste onto the next card. When I select everything and group, then drag or copy/paste, the text box that was "COMPANY NAME" doesn't come along. One of my efforts produced a dialog that gave me the option "Remove link", but I have no clue what that is nor can I get it to appear again. I hope someone here has used Pages to produce business cards and can tell me what stupid thing I'm overlooking. Thanks!
