Keynote remote not working on iPad ios18

I have done all of the steps in every other forum and it works fine with my iphone. When I select remote on the iPad it won’t even discover my laptop. Yes my laptop is enabled. I have done local network Sharing, I have manually changed the date on the iPad hoping it would work and still nothing.
