Do you see the charge when you review your recent purchases here,

Charges display per item. Receipts or statements sent by Apple may display multiple items as a single purchase. Purchases generally are taxable and you must take that into consideration.

Also note that Apple only deducts money from your payment method after you have double clicked the side button with the terms displayed on the Authorizations screen followed by verification with Face ID/Touch ID or Passcode.
For a Free Trial, on that screen you will see a message that states to avoid the subscription, you must cancel at least a day before the trial period ends, otherwise you would be subscribed. Failing to cancel will result in the money deducted just like you had agreed to.
If you did not do this, then that would mean your Passcode has been given to someone else and that would authorize them to make charges on your account.

Family Sharing purchases, and cases involving card fraud, can also arise.
Card fraud matches the circumstances here exactly, too.
