External monitor for my iPad Air M3.

I want to connect external monitor for my iPad. I even got the adapter. The only problem is that my current monitor has an aspect ratio 4:5 and it look awful because I can’t see whole picture. I would like to buy another monitor with aspect radio 16:9 but I don’t know will it scale good because aspect radio is iPad is 4:3. Please let me know, thank for any kind of help.

Perhaps you are currently using your iPad in screen-mirroring mode.

The tags appended to your post suggest that you are using iPadOS 26. Ensure that your iPad's multitasking is set to use either Windowed Apps or if your iPad models supports it, Stage Manager mode:

Settings > Multitasking & Gestures

With your external monitor connected, from the Arrangement setting, turn-off Mirror Display and then click the Set button:

The external monitor should now be using all of the available display area - at the monitor's native resolution.

For external monitors with a screen resolution of 1280 x 1024 or less, you may not be able to make full use of your iPad's capabilities. Ideally, you will choose a monitor with a native screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 or greater.
