I am not able in the Mac Music app to mark different playlists or even albums at once to handle them in bulk (alt key + arrow) in album/artist view. What do I wrong? Many thanks.

There is no direct method for selecting the contents of multiple playlists, however if you place multiple playlists inside a playlist folder, then select that playlist folder, you will see the union of all of the constituent parts. To select multiple albums use cmd-click and/or shift-click when adding items or ranges to the selection. You can add such a selection to a new playlist, Play Now or Play Later, or where appropriate use Cmd+i to open Song Info. In general the alt/option-arrow key commands to move playback will work on the Now Playing list, or all items that are displayed in the current view, not selected items in the current view. View > Show Filter Field adds a search box that may be useful in narrowing down what is displayed in your current library view or playlist. In the songs layout you might also try View > Show Column Browser.
