Tahoe calendar invites

Tahoe.

My work sends me multiple meeting OFFERS.

Of EIGHT offers I may accept ONE. Previously, I just ignored all the meetings I didn't want to attend. Simple.

And the one I wanted to attend and said yes to, or added, appeared in the notifications side drawer of iCal and I clicked to accept it. As expected.

NOW, since Tahoe, every offer appears in the notifications side drawer. I've toggled off "show invitations in notifications" but they're still showing up there, which is making things very confusing at work.

What am I missing?
