Transferring songs and data from MacBook to external HD

Yes I have a MacBook 2009 or later. I've successfuly copied the [MacUser] folder to an external HD. I want to copy all the PTs data for my PTs song as well so I can work on them on my MacBook Pro. Have I done wellor do I need to do some other copying. I don't want to lose my PTs songs and data. Please advise.

I want to lnow if this will work with Pro Tools as well

Say what— it is a 2009 MBP(?) Not sure what the "or later" is suppose to mean here with your particular Mac.

2009 was 16 years ago...what macOS or old OS X exactly was this and/or currently running.

What is PT's ? ...Pro Tools what?
