Frozen Ipad Air 5th gen ( 2023 ) after iOS26 update

I updated my iPad to iOS 26 and now I can start the iPad and it opens to the Home screen and I can sign in with my passcode and all the apps appear on the home screen but that"s it . Every app is frozen and I can not open them up. I tried the restart suggestion by Apple by pressing the volume UP button , then the volume DOWN button , and finally the Power button but that does nothing. I also connected my iPad to my MacBook to try and restore it from my MacBook but the iPad won't even sync up with my iPad . I don"t know what to try next ----- I need help

Force restart iPad (models with Face ID or with Touch ID in the top button)

If your iPad doesn’t have the Home button, do the following:

Press and quickly release the volume button nearest to the top button.
Press and quickly release the volume button farthest from the top button.
Press and hold the top button; do not release the button until...
When the Apple logo appears, release the top button.

Performed correctly, your iPad WILL restart.
