Unblocking an email not in Blocked Conracts

a friend’s email has been blocked, but

•not by me

•not in my large Blocked Contacts list

•blocked list has no domain (pobox.com) nor ISP (Proofpoint.com) they use

•not showing as blocked in my contact record for this person, and I wouldn’t block them

•I can easily get text messages from them

Theirs is not the only one.

What in Ada Lovelace’s name is going on, and how do I fix this?

Don't know if this will help but I'll post it just in case

Pobox has migrated its services to Fastmail.

To unblock an email address, you will need to follow the steps within your Fastmail account settings:

  1. Log in to your Fastmail account. You will likely use your Pobox reference address to log in.
  2. Navigate to your settings (often found under a gear icon or your profile).
  3. Look for sections related to Spam, Mail Rules, Senders, or Blocked Senders.
  4. Find the list of Blocked Senders, Blocked Addresses, or Blacklist.
  5. Locate the email address you wish to unblock and choose the option to Remove or Unblock
