3 months of Apple TV+ offered as part of my purchase of a new iPhone, but I’m only given 1 week free when I sign up. What is this about?

Original Title: i got an email saying I have 3 months of Apple TV for free but when I signed up it only gave me 1 week free. What gives?

It should be 3 months for new purchases as long as you have not already had a free trial of a ny duration before.

Redemption should be done on the new device in the Apple TV app.

You can start your free three-month subscription to Apple TV+ after setting up your new Apple product. Here’s how to redeem your offer.

Turn on your new Apple device and sign in with your Apple ID.
Open the Apple TV app. Make sure your device is running the latest version of tvOS, iOS, iPadOS or macOS.
The offer should be presented immediately after you launch the app. If not, go to the Apple TV+ tab, where you’ll see the offer.
Tap Enjoy 3 Months Free.
