Hey so i got the free apple music subscription and when i went to cancel it so it doesnt automatically renew the next month my apple music just stopped working and it said i need to pay
what do i do

When you cancel a free trial, it ends immediately at the time you cancel. After you pay for a subscription, you can cancel early to prevent renewal and you can continue to use the service for the end of the term you have already paid for.
The post is slightly confusing what you are asking as it is not clear when you say the you need to pay, if that means your are being charged for the free trial or if after cancelling the free trial it is asking you to pay to use the service.

It is not a difficult concept to grasp, sorry you could not figure it out on your own. You could have also reviewed the terms for whichever offer you accepted, but that would require reading or as you say, "use ur brain". Here is an example of one of the offers:
If you cancel during your free offer period, you will immediately lose access to Apple Music and the remainder of your free trial. You can’t reactivate this trial.

Apple is doing quite well, so you don't need to worry about them, they will be just fine.

Nothing. you cancel it. the features of the subscription will no longer work with the subscription cancelled so your limited to just your local library.
What exactly did you expect was going to happen after you cancelled it?
You can't keep accessing songs you downloaded from the subscription service once the subscription is cancelled.
