Recently my iPad automatically switches to mute. It is up to date. Someone advised me to switch off Bluetooth, but that does not help. What can I do?

See if you have a scheduled Do Not Disturb enabled. Go to Settings/Focus/Do Not Disturb. Also check other Focus options for the same thing.

Thank you. I was not familiar with the focus settings but they seem ok. The problem is that when my iPad switches to mute, my alarm clocks do not work. They still make a sound, but barely perceivable and certainly not enough to wake me.

Putting the iPad on silent will not affect the sound volume of the alarms. They are only affected by the system volume.
