severe lag on scrolling since IS26.0.1 loaded

If I reset the iPad it’s ok for a short while. Trying to switch iPad off is also an issue as it’s hard to swipe the button to switch off.

Wait a couple of days: After a major update, your device often performs background tasks like re-indexing files, photos, and apps. This can make the system temporarily feel sluggish. Giving it 24-48 hours to complete this can often resolve the lag.

Restart your device: A simple restart can clear up temporary glitches and free up memory (RAM).

Check your storage: If your device is nearly full, it can contribute to poor performance.

  • Go to Settings >General >iPhone/iPad Storage and try to free up a significant amount of space if you're close to capacity.

Try disabling animations/motion: New visual effects can sometimes be resource-intensive, especially on older devices.

  • Go to Settings >Accessibility >Motion and toggle Reduce Motion on.

Turn off "Reduce Transparency" (Can help with the 'Liquid Glass' effect): Some users have reported this helping with general choppiness.

  • Go to Settings >Accessibility >Display & Text Size and toggle Reduce Transparency on.

Update your apps: Make sure all your apps are fully updated, as developers often release compatibility fixes for new operating system versions.
