Welcome to the English-language version of Apple's Communities!
MACHINE TRANSLATION:
Greetings from Italy to the entire Apple community.
I own an IMac 9.1 24 inch from early 2009 still fully functional that I use for video processing with FCPX.
I ask the experts in the community if on this IMac that mounts the NVIDIA GeForce 9400 GPU 256 MB video card is integrated into the motherboard, or it is removable and therefore possible to upgrade with a more updated and compatible card.
The processor is an Intel Core 2 Duo of 2.66 GHz and 8 GB of Ram.
Given my level as a beginner, I thank in advance those who can give me more indications and any suggestions.
A cordial greeting
RESPONSE:
Technical information I found on a non-Apple self-service site says that your model's graphics GeForce 9400 hardware is integral with the logic board and cannot be replaced. Had your iMac been up-ordered with an optional GeForce GT 120, GeForce GT 130, or ATI Radeon HD 4850, it would be slotted and therefore upgradeable.
RESPONSE MACHINE TRANSLATION:
