Error when logging into Apple TV app on Fire TV Stick 4K

Won’t let me enter log in info. When I click login, an error says “Something went wrong. There was a problem connecting. Not Now / Try Again”.

I have tried:

Checking for updates on the app and firestick. Both are up to date.

Clearing cache, clearing data. Relaunching the app.

Uninstalling the Apple TV app. Resetting the firestick and unplugging for a minute.

Unplugging the modem for 30 seconds to reset. Then reinstalling the Apple TV and it still will not allow me to enter any login information.

This has been going on for over a week.

It seems you have done some impressive troubleshooting already. At this time, I would suggest to contact an expert from the Apple Support staff for further assistance. Contact Apple for support and service (phone numbers) or start your support request online (chat/email/callback).

The only remaining thing to check, that I can think of, is:

- Verify that your Fire TV has the correct date, time, and time zone, as Apple may be more strict about that than other content providers (for TLS secure connection reasons).
