Artist albums no longer playing chronologically

Up until recently having selected my artist albums to be displayed in chronological order rather than alphabetically I was able to press play at the top of the list next to the artist name and my music would play from the first song of the first chronological album to the last track of the most recent release. Something has changed behind the scenes, so now although visually the artists albums are still displayed in the same manner, when I press the play button Apple Music now plays the first song from the first alphabetical list of albums not chronological, I have been in touch with apple who are no help, just wondering if anyone knows how to resolve the issue, thanks ps this seems to be happening on my Mac but not on my iPhone which is still playing in the manner I prefer
