Mail on iPhone keeps asking for my password, even though it then works when I ignore the pop up.

I’m on iOS 18.7.1 but it was doing the same thing with the previous iOS.

I have deleted and reinstalled my email account several times. It doesn’t ask for my password for a few days then does.

I've done that. My provider is 123-reg. They say it's not a problem caused by them - it's Apple!!!

I have tried everything to prevent this problem - resets, deleting the email settings, powering down the phone, then reinstalling the email. It seems to work for a few days, then comes back again. It's never done this before until the last month or so.

Any ideas gratefully received.
