apple tv movie rental fail

I’m not sure if this is even the end of it or if this is happening to other people… I signed up for apple tv so as to rent a movie and after the system didnt recognise my comp and asked me to add it again as a second system then probably 5 or 6 sign ins later and doing the rental it gave an error message saying it couldnt process credit card payments at the moment…but the credit card shows not only the charge for the subscription but also the charge for the film it now wont let me watch - after all this the food was cold and the watch party was ruined and my friends gave up and went home so now im spending my sunday night disputing charges….ya not happy…I requested a refund for the service because it didnt work but I’m Not sure how im going to dispute the movie rental charge because its not even showing up on my apple acct only on my credit card acct.

  1. Rentals do not require an Apple TV+ subscription, nor does that subscription bring any benefits for renting movies.
  2. In an unfortunate timing, there was an outage for Apple TV+. I don’t think the outage included Store movies (buy or rent).
