Unable to add Apple Card to wallet card, error message - “card information invalid.” Have latest software version, two passwords authentication enabled, and all cards have been removed from all devices.

Did you send him an invitation too? Unanswered invitations cause issues like this. He should check his iPhone too. If he finds the invitation, just delete it and wait 24 hours before attempting to add your card to Apple Wallet.

When you try to add via the + what is the exact error message? When you try to add via Payments & Shipping what is the error message? Does the physical card work at merchants?
When the accounts were merged. Was each person already an Apple Card account owner and the two separately owned accounts merged into one joint account?
The second way is for an account owner to send an invitation to become part owner of a new joint account?

Through the wallet app, there is a plus sign icon that finds the Apple Card. I have also used settings menu and attempted to add the card through Payment & Shipping and also through Wallet & Apple Pay.
10/27/25 I found out that my preexisting installment payments didn’t cross over to the new combined account. I didn’t think about this until now that we are close to the end of October 2025. I went online to check my account at http://card.apple.com and I don’t see my installment for the one item but I can see my husband’s. My card still does not work, it continues to say, Invalid Card Check the information on your card and try again.” I check every day to see if it will work and I also make it a habit to restart my phone and check for new updates.
So how are you attempting to add the card to Apple Wallet?
Yes both already existing Apple Card owners. After merging, his account continues to work fine but mine didn’t.
He sent me an invitation and I accepted.
I didn’t send him an invitation, the invitation was initiated by only one of us(he).

Via the + the error reads, “Invalid Card
Check the information on your card and try again.” Payments & Shipping does not list Apple Card as an option. I don’t have a physical card yet.
