macOS Tahoe apple Mail Icons - reply/reply all icon toggles automatically to reply all

First off: not a fan of the new UI design, esp the rounded corners of the windows. I'm a pro video editor and I work on monitors. My screens are not phones or tablets (even if my work eventually ends up there).

OK, rant over: apple Mail - when I try to use the reply icon to reply to an individual, first click nothing happens. Second click the icon changes to reply all.

However, this email is a reply to a single address. Not multiple.

The problem: how do I send to an individual if there are multiple addresses?

And, why is there a big blue send button? Is that supposed to be the 'reply' singular command?

Thanks for responding and, yes, there are always multiple ways of accomplishing a task on MacOS. My concern was the reply icon.

I have just recently upgraded to Tahoe from Sequoia and, as I'm now on my laptop - Sequoia - I see that the big blue button w/an up arrow (Tahoe) has, sadly, replaced the elegant little airplane icon (Sequoia).

I know that apple is intergrating the UI across all their devices and that's a pretty smart thing to do but, there are some things that will be missed.

Once again, I appreciate your taking the time to point out the other menu option (I had never really used the keyboard commands to send.)
