Difference between Apple TV versions
I don't understand that there are two versions of Apple TV. I don't know which one to choose.

If you mean the latest models of the Apple TV box:
Model A2843 (“Wi-Fi + Ethernet”) and A2737 (“Wi-Fi”) are both available as new now. Both have a lot in common, but the A2843 has some extras that the A2737 doesn’t have. Hence a difference in retail price.
Apple TV 4K (3rd generation) technical specifications - Apple Support
The page list the common features over the width of the page, but splits in two columns where the features differ.
The A2843 has an ethernet port. The A2843 has Thread networking technology for support of select smart home accessories that use the Thread network (instead of Wi-Fi or Bluetooth). The A2843 has a bigger disk, for more apps and app content. Especially gaming apps can be quite big.
I woulds advise to choose the one that best fits your needs (for the coming few years, depending on your drive to upgrade when newer models come out).
The Apple TV app also comes in different editions, that might be confusing [4].
On third party devices, you can have either the (full) Apple TV app [with Apple TV+ streaming service, MLS (where available), FNB (where available), movie Store, and in-app select third party channels],
or the specialized Apple TV+ app (note the ‘plus’ in the name) [with just Apple TV+, MLS (where available), FNB (where available)].
Which edition of the app is available to you, depends on the device and possibly its age (year of introduction).
Lastly, Apple mentions Apple TV content for both Apple TV+ streaming service (subscription) and the movie Store (buy/rent), which are clearly separate and mostly non-overlapping for the paying customer.
So the hardware, the software, and the services share a common name. 🤷♂️
