Fixing a cracked MacBook Air screen

My Mac showed up with a cracked screen, which has never been dropped or had any accidents. I went to report this to the store, and without checking it, a technician told me it wasn't a manufacturing defect. It was because the material they used was very sensitive, and this happens frequently.

I want to know how I can get the screen replaced due to this manufacturing defect that should be covered by the warranty.

Pleae clarify something. By "showed up," do you mean you received it that way? If so, your beef is with the carrier, not Apple.

We are not Apple but rather other end users like you, so there are no official answers here.

Did the employee work directly for Apple? For an Apple Authorized Service Provider or third-party provider? I cannot imagine an Apple-paid tech saying that.

If it was an Apple employee, you can ask that your evaluation and decision be escalated but that may not change anything. That's about all.
