Dock Pulses: It's Actually TWO apps opening and being closed continuously

I keep seeing the dock look like it expands and contracts. Like it flexes. So I screen recorded it and it looks like there's TWO apps opening and being closed. It keeps happening over and over.

I had some weird stuff with whatsapp so I removed it and reinstalled it. I was continuously asked about some virusy looking thing to open "something bridge" so I denied. Maybe something to do with it?

I got a screen shot of the apps opening AND here's my screen recording (it's in the first 11 seconds and the rest is fluff) https://www.loom.com/share/f80438800e9f4a618bf8e3b2997d00ca?sid=724df8c3-da13-4b43-a8b7-01f69adc1e46

Two apps attempted to load, but their icons bore a "prohibited symbol" which simply means they will not run on that macOS version. It is not possible to determine what they may be from that video.
