How to remove empty collections in iOS 26 Photos app?

In yet another way Apple has tried to ruin their photo app, this time, they’ve forced a Collections tab that has 10 Collections, none of which can be removed from the view, even if they’re empty. The entire app is now chaotic and miserable to use. Has anyone found any way around this horrible set up?
