It is my son‘s iPad. My wife has one as well. Hers does not show up, his does. It is not on my connected devices list. Want to remove it as an option for phone call audio.
This means your son is using the same Apple Account as you. Your son should NOT be using the same Apple Account. He should have his own account, then depending on his age, you can use Parental Controls and Family Sharing to share content with each other. Please read the following links:
Make sure that each family member has a unique Apple Account - Apple Support
To unshare accounts this will guide you --> How to “unshare” an Apple ID - Apple Community
To use Parental Controls --> Use parental controls to manage your child's iPhone or iPad - Apple Support
To set up Family Sharing --> Family Sharing - Apple
Until you do this, your sons iPad showing up as an audio option is the least of your worries. You son can see every phone call you make. You son can read your text messages. Your son has access to all the same data on his device and he can delete things, like photos, messages, music, etc. without your knowledge or permission.
