Unable to open or remove app from ipad

After upgrading my iPad Air 4 to iOS 26.0.1 I have noticed a strange app (shown below)that cannot be opened or deleted. I have tried force reset and checked settings but still unable to remove it.

Was it a Default app that you tried to delete?

Troubleshoot Removing/Deleting the App

If the app won't delete, or you only see "Remove from Home Screen," try these methods:

  • Check Screen Time Restrictions (Most Common Fix):
    1. Go to Settings $\rightarrow$ Screen Time.
    2. Tap Content & Privacy Restrictions.
    3. Tap iTunes & App Store Purchases.
    4. Tap Deleting Apps and make sure it is set to Allow. (You may need to enter a Screen Time Passcode).
  • Delete from iPad Storage: This method often works when the Home Screen method doesn't.
    1. Go to Settings $\rightarrow$ General.
    2. Tap iPad Storage.
    3. Wait for the list of apps to load, then find and tap the stubborn app.
    4. Tap Delete App, then confirm.
  • Force Restart Your iPad (If it's frozen or completely unresponsive):
    • With Face ID or Touch ID in the top button: Press and quickly release the Volume Up button, press and quickly release the Volume Down button, then press and hold the Top button until the Apple logo appears.
    • With a Home button: Press and hold the Top button and the Home button at the same time until the Apple logo appears.
