How do I stop Bluetooth from auto-starting podcasts on my iPhone?

When I a) turn my car on, or b) open my case, pull out my PBP 2 and put them in my ears, it automatically activates and starts playing my podcasts from wherever I left off.

I’ve tried many times to look online, following all the suggestions, and it still opens my podcast app and starts playing the same podcast. Fyi, it doesn’t do this on my MBP M3, even though it has the same app.

How do I sit this feature off once and for all?!?!?
