Final Cut Pro v11.2 transitions are not appearing in installed transitions column

Hi there,

I have a transition issue in FCPX v11.2.

The issue is that the transitions do not appear in the installed transition column.

But you can clearly see that the transitions category folder is recognised by FCPX in the traditions column.

All other stock FCPX transitions are showing in the installed transitions column as seen:

I have made sure that my transition folder in Motion Templates states .localized as seen below:

Here is an image of my folder structure just in case:

Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

Have you restarted FCP since installing the transitions?

If they don't appear after a restart try deleting the preferences.

Deleting the preferences should be one of the first things you do when FCP starts behaving oddly for no apparent reason. It only takes seconds but can save hours or days of head-banging.

If you have FCP set up in a very complex way it can be a nuisance to reset all the preferences the way you want them but this can be reduced to a single click if you install the free Preference Manager from Digital Rebellion.

Also, future reference, be sure your Search field is empty, too.

Flow is under the Dissolves category.

Verify the search field is clear.

You can always try to run "Download Additional Content" in the application menu.

It wasn't there. I ended up deleting all my preferences and somehow it reappeared. Odd.

Ben, I'm having somewhat of the same issue. I'm looking for a specific transition - Flow, but it's not there anymore. What exactly do I need to do to get it back?
