My AirPod max Connect to my old phone but not my new one

They connect to my old phone but everytime I try connect them to my new phone it just says loading then failed everytime, I went into the Apple Store and they said it’s because I haven’t updated my phone, I did and still have the problem

Thank you for posting your experience to the community. Now that you have updated your iPhone, the firmware on the AirPods can also update if needed. Firmware generally updates automatically, yet AirPods and iPhone need power and wi-fi in order to do so.


About firmware updates for AirPods - Apple Support

Eg: says:

"Go to Settings > Bluetooth, then tap the Info button (i) next to the name of your AirPods.

Scroll down to the About section to find the firmware version."


Article also lists the latest updates :

"AirPods Max (USB-C): 7E108

AirPods Max (Lightning): 6F25"

If needed: Tip: Leave AirPods connected to power overnight with the iPhone connected to wi-fi close by, so they can update automatically . (They can update more quickly via Mac)
