I'm having to set up a new security key every time I open outlook to check my icloud email. I'd like to revert back to just allowing outlook to use my apple password to log in.

Yes for the account in general. It cannot be reverted for a single app though. When you remove all security keys,. the account reverts to the 6 digit code for 2FA.
