Upscaled AI images downloading in original size

I upscale my AI images before I sell online, either 2x or 4x. When the purchasers buy, their download is only the original size, not the upscaled size. Obviously this is not appreciated. It makes no difference where I made the art, or whichever platform I designed or upscaled on. The result is always the same...original size downloads both for myself and my buyer. Can anyone help?

I use a 24in imac M1 2021, with Sequoia 15.6.1

Where are they being downloaded from? Perhaps the site you are uploading them to has a size limit?

Thanks for the reply. I download to my computer from Openart.ai, when they are already upscaled, then I upload to Deviant art for sale. No, DA doesn't have a size limit, I have purchased pics from there, myself, at 8x, for printing.

Hmmm. I used to be on DeviantArt. Are you saying if you upload a 4096x4096 image there then download it, it is no longer 4096x4096?

Yes! Thank you! It is indeed upscaled. So...I'm thinking its the websites I use, not me! But all three> LOL...! I open and use 3 AI art sites...Openart.com, Midjourney.com occasionally, and Deviant art...which has a lousy program. Now I have to find out which one is doing the damage!

For what it's worth, I don't think whatever the issue is, it has anything to do with Macs or Sequoia.

I upscaled this 512x613 Apple logo

to 2048x2452

If you download the upscaled version it should still be 2048x2452

Correct. Obviously DA has a problem? They only upscale to 4x by default. When my buyers download my upscaled from DA the buyer gets the original 1024x1024.
