Traditional bluetooth pairing of an iPhone with a computer or another phone or iPad is not and has never been supported. It's also completely unnecessary. Continuity, handoff, etc. do not require Bluetooth "pairing".

When you say "pair", this term usually applies to a Bluetooth connection. An iPhone does not connect to a Mac using a Bluetooth connection.
The iPhone connects using either a USB cable or via a Wi-Fi connection. In the case of Wi-Fi, both the iPhone and Mac simply connect to the same Wi-Fi network.
If you mean to say that "pair" might mean something different, please provide more detail.
Is Find My enabled on the Mac? Are your Mac and iPhone on the same Apple Account? If yes, to both, when you open Find My on your iPhone, your Mac should automatically appear in your devices list. Here is a link about how to enable Find My on a Mac --> Set up Find My on Mac - Apple Support
To your question about your former flagged email, you'll need to contact the email account provider for help with their service.

I'm getting mail on the MacBook. It's just that none of my former flagged mail is showing up. Also, how do I establish the Find My Mac with my iPhone?
