Downloaded music missing after iOS 26 update on iPhone 16 Pro

I lost my music library on my phone after the update to iOS26. The phone is a 16Pro.

i have tried to restore the library from my pc using iTunes but that too does not work.

However, when connected to the PC, iTunes shows about 2GB of music in the phone which I cannot access and does not show up in the Music App. Tried reinstalling Music App. That too does not work.

Frustrated !!!
