Recording Guitar through Scarlett 2i2 doesn't work

I’ve been using Logic Pro on my MacBook Air (2021) for four years now, recording my guitar through a Scarlett 2i2 interface, and I’ve never had any problems until recently. All of a sudden, it doesn’t work properly anymore. I’ll create a new audio track for Guitar/Bass and make sure that both the audio input and output are set to the Scarlett 2i2, just like I’ve always done. However, when I play the guitar, Logic barely registers any sound at all and when it does, the signal is very weak and sounds robotic or distorted.

When I open GarageBand, everything works perfectly fine, so there’s nothing wrong with my interface or guitar. Both my MacBook and Logic Pro are updated to the latest versions. I’ve also tried resetting all preferences and reinstalling Logic, but nothing seems to help.

Does anyone know what could be causing this or how to fix it?
