MacBook Air M4 Randomly Restarting Despite Multiple macOS Updates

My brand new MacBook Air M4 is restarting automatically. When I first got the device, it came with macOS 15.5 pre-installed. I set it up but didn’t use it for two days. After that, an upgrade to macOS 16.5 became available, and I installed it.

Since then, I’ve submitted the laptop to an Apple Authorized Service Provider twice. Both times, they returned it saying no issues were found and reinstalled macOS. On the second visit, they also upgraded it to macOS 26.0.1.

I’ve attached a screenshot below for reference.

As Apple Authorize Service Centre has had Physical and Direct On-Hands Access to the computer and found no Hardware issues

What do you make of this ?

Not hardware, then it must be Software

Have the same M4 MBA that arrived with Sequoia macOS 15.5 ( 24F74 )

Have since upGraded to macOS 26.0 to 26.0.1 and still no issues at all

As my colleague has suggested " Safe Mode " would be a good indicator just where tis issue is coming from

To Drill Down further and to avoid a session of Q&A, Q&A  and Q&A

Download the Application Etrecheck  ( External Link ) directly from the Developer.

The Application is Not a " Silver Bullet "  and is  only a tool to examine the Hardware / Software used on this computer

This is a Diagnostic Tool that makes no changes to the computer Hardware / Software used on this computer

The application is free or paid from added features.
